American Presidency Paper Topics
American Presidency Paper TopicsWhy is it that so many of the top paper topics of all time have come from the first twenty-five years of the American Presidency? I think of it as an unspoken 'documentary' of the first two Presidents. Which paper topics are these, and how can you make the most of them for your own papers? This style of Presidential paper topics originated during the Progressive Era of the early twentieth century. It was more than likely influenced by the diverse groups that gathered to write in magazines such as the Saturday Evening Post, and The Chronicle. These articles helped create the need for these long Presidential term reports. In the mid-twentieth century, as the change in Presidents was beginning to become more frequent, the new generation of writers began to write their thoughts down in articles, making it easier to write a shorter report for the President to read. Writing down how the past Presidents felt about a subject helped to develop the document's tone and personal nature. As the paper topics became more short and concise, the early stories were sometimes written for less, but one key element was retained throughout. This element was often referred to as 'reality.' This allowed a shorter report to be made and provided a more complete account of a given topic. So what type of topics are found in the American Presidency? Many of these topics pertain to the subjects and issues of Presidential need.Presidents are not 'bad'evil,' they are just human. When faced with a crisis, they need to be educated on how to deal with that crisis. We see this especially with the handling of civil unrest or a natural disaster. Some paper topics of other sorts may also come from the needs of other groups. I have written on other occasions about the need for the military to be better educated on weapons to help them react when a war was getting closer to happening. Other points of reference might be for journalism, and specifically cartoons, to be more co ncise and to take out as much of the drama as possible. These paper topics are another story altogether. If you enjoy writing about a topic, this is a very fulfilling hobby, and the American Presidency paper topics are wonderful for bringing that creative side to you.
